Giving

There are several opportunities to support the operations of the Arts Council, its individual campaigns, and its longer-term goals including…

Become a Patron

Patron donations are the single most important support system for running the Arts Council. Funds from patron donations are used for operations and to support all our programming. The organization simply wouldn’t exist without the generous local support of individual and business patrons. MHAC’s annual patron drive begins in September.

Foundation or Corporate Grant

Another strong supporter of operations are foundation and corporate grants, which are typically $1,000-plus. If your organization has or you know of an opportunity for grants that the Arts Council might explore, please contact us as we are always exploring new opportunities.

Summer Concerts Sponsor

Each year MHAC, through a partnership with the City of Mountain Home and Mountain Home Parks & Rec, hosts a Summer Concert Series in Carl Miller Park. In order to present 4 to 5 concerts free to the public we ask for sponsorships separate from our Patron Drive with a goal of raising approximately $4,000. Fundraising typically begins in May of each year and sponsorship levels include:

Your $95 donation will not only help the program, your business will receive the following recognition:

  • Your company name will appear in the online and print marketing.
  • Your company name will appear in a thank-you spot on a billboard next to the stage.

At our $150 level sponsorship, you will also receive recognition, in addition to the above:

  • Your name or logo on over 100 posters on display throughout the community (commitment needed by Monday, June 10);
  • Your company banner may be attached to the stage at each performance.

At our Advance Sponsorship of $300 you will receive all the above recognitions, in addition to:

  • Your company can have a greater presence in the park, during each performance, to promote your business through sales or advertising.

Community Canvas of MoHo Sponsor

Sponsor a mural and support the beautification of Mountain Home! Community Canvas of MoHo is an outdoor gallery giving visual artist an opportunity to be seen by the public and the public the opportunity to view and admire the talents of our local community. We currently have 130 beautiful murals, spanning 5 blocks of downtown Mountain Home. We start painting the second week of June and have a reveal on the 4th of July.

The Whistle Pig Sponsor

Donate to the The Whistle Pig literary journal! The Whistle Pig is published annually by the Literary Arts Committee of the Mountain Home Arts Council. Contributors—of short fiction, poetry, song lyrics, literary nonfiction, & visual art—are from Elmore County and surrounding areas.

Endowment Fund Donation

The Mountain Home Arts Council has established a Legacy & Venue Endowment Fund with Edward Jones Investments to further bolster the long-term viability of the organization and take advantage of emerging opportunities for growth and an arts venue. The vision of this fund is to be a tool to capture larger legacy and estate gifts and meet the needs of donors who wish to give longer term than a single-season sponsorship. It is also particularly for donors who would support the exploration into building, or renovation of an existing building, to be utilized as an arts venue for not only Arts Council events, but for many city, school, and other organizations that could benefit from the much-needed stage and event space.

This Legacy & Venue Endowment Fund is by no means meant to replace or compete against seasonal support of the Mountain Home Arts Council Patron Drive, Summer Concert Series, or Community Canvas of MoHo, as these fundraising efforts are critical to the day-to-day and seasonal operations of the organization and its activities.

Toward this mission, the Mountain Home Arts Council Board of Directors has established the following policy:

Policy:

The Mountain Home Arts Council, Inc. Endowment Fund is created and exists solely for charitable purposes that support the promotion, development, and growth of the Mountain Home Arts Council mission to entertain, enrich, and educate the community by promoting and presenting artistic and cultural events. Donations to the Endowment Fund represent a perpetual investment from which the principal or corpus (i.e. contributions) may not be invaded. Only earnings, not contributions, may be distributed or utilized in accordance with guidelines established by the Mountain Home Arts Council Board of Directors.
